Up to 95% of the women deal with a common problem called cellulite. It makes beautiful skin turn into cottage cheese and it usually collects on thighs and the buttocks. Thinking that they just have to live with it, many people cover up in pants and long skirts. Don’t be discouraged! There are a few tricks to reducing cellulite for good. You can find out here how to do this.
Have you wondered what causes cellulite?
Our skin is the outer cover, under it there is a net of connective tissues that is called septae. There is a layer of fat beneath this septae. Cellulite is the result of fat that pokes through the net of septae, creating a look of ripples on the outer skin. To illustrate, visualize a fishnet spread over gelatin. As the net tightens, it forces gelatin to poke through the net’s hole. In a similar fashion, the septae and fat create ripples under the skin.
Cellulite is especially troublesome to older women since the fat bulges bigger and more visible because of the holes in septae’s net enlarging even as the skin becomes thinner.
Exercise in general does not have any impact on cellulite. To get a smoother appearance focus on skin and fat cells.
Two Steps to Banishing Cellulite
Skip the liposuction and surgery! As revealed by studies on the subject, one of the effective ways to get rid of cellulite is to massage the afflicted area. Isn’t it great that such a simple method could give so effective a result? For a “really cool” method that will produce a dramatic smoothing effect on cellulite, try cooling the area. So try to experience the best of both worlds every morning.
Try this:
After taking your bath or shower apply cold water from the tap on that part of your body that is afflicted with cellulite. The next step will be to massage the affected area by applying baby oil with your soft hands. Do this for about ten minutes.
You may notice results in as little as two weeks.
How exactly does this work? Cellulite consists of fat cells pushed up into tiny clusters. Through cold and massage we can level the lumps formed and push the fat cells back where they belong, under the septae.
Healthy Skin is Smooth Skin
In young age the skin is smooth and healthy, as it ages it tends to lose its collagen and elasticity thereby making it saggy. Cellulite in aging skin even worse, so it is essential to try and prevent loss of collagen and elasticity as much as possible.
Apply a good moisturizer just after showers in order to prevent elasticity loss. Collagen is an essential element in good quality moisturizers. So while keeping your skin as firm as possible you can apply collagen.
If your skin is experiencing any type of sagging then try using a firming lotion such as Jergens Firming Daily Moisturizing lotion. These moisturizers are tested and clinically proven to assist you in firming and tightening of the skin. Often, as your skin tightens, the appearance of cellulite reduces as well.
The easiest and best way to get rid of cellulite is to cool, moisturize, massage, and firm your skin. Just grab those fashionable, skimpy skirts and shorts as no excuse can stop you now.
