There are more ways then ever to treat cellulite on your body. This unfortunately makes the decision of which cellulite treatment to choose more difficult for you. This article is going to look at a few of the more popular anti cellulite treatments, and help you choose a treatment option that is best for you.

Endermologie®

This is a newer anti cellulite treatment technique. It involves the use of a small machine with two rollers and slight suction. It performs a type of massage on the skin rolling the top layer of skin and fat as it’s moved over top of the skin. The rolling motion stretches out the connective tissues in the skin leaving it smoother and flatter then before.

The FDA has approved the statement that Endermologie® can temporarily reduce the appearance of cellulite. This is the only treatment method that the FDA has made any statement about.

Treatments are done in multiple sessions and to maintain the results continuos sessions must be done several times a year. The process can hurt a bit, and leave a bit of soreness. Sessions run from $70 – $100.

Mesotherapy

This treatment came over from France as a skin care treatment used with cellulite, wrinkles and fine lines. It involves small needles and “micro injections”. These micro injections contain vitamins, minerals, amino acids and other natural building blocks that help reduce new fat cells from forming.

Mesotherpay is administered in multiple sessions like Endermologie®, how ever there can be a bit more discomfort associated with the treatment. Soreness is the major side effect for a couple of days after each session. Treatment sessions run around the same as Endermologie® and are done by beauty and skin care clinics in most major cities.

Anti Cellulite Lotions and Creams

This is the only topical treatment we’ll look at, but it has been shown to be effective. While both previous treatments produce quicker results they are high cost and can have some pain associated with them. In comparison anti cellulite creams are topically applied and generally contain all natural ingredients with minimal if any side effects.

Cellulite creams firm and tone the skin where applied to reduce the appearance of cellulite fat cells pushing up against connective tissues below the skin. It’s this pressing that causes dimples to occur.

Some anti cellulite creams contain stimulants such as green tea extract or caffeine to help improve blood flow and circulation to those areas of the body affected by cellulite. This process also improves the functionality of the natural metabolic pathways in that area of the body.

Consistent application is required, similar to multiple sessions of other types of treatments. A one month supply of cellulite lotion can cost between $30 and $50 dollars.

Most women opt to try anti cellulite creams first, before expensive and sometimes painful alternative treatment methods. How ever the results can be more dramatic from sessions of Endermologie®.
